Apple Cider Rice

General Description


2 cups unsweetened apple cider
1 cup water
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups long grain rice
6 tbps butter
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Cooking Instructions

Bring cider and water to a boil in pan. Stir in rice and salt; reduce heat, cover, and cook 20 minutes. Remove from heat; set aside.

Melt butter over medium heat; add almonds and raisins. Cook, stirring often, until almonds are golden. Add cinnamon and nutmeg. Pepper to taste. Stir in rice and mix well.
