Beef Stew

General Description


Ingredients

olive oil
1 lb stew meat
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 bag of baby carrots, chopped
4 potatoes, peeled and diced
1/2 an onion, diced
1 can beef broth
1 pkg of Liptons Beefy Onion soup
1 can beef gravy

splash of red wine (optional)


Cooking Instructions

brown meat in oil in a soup pot. Pour in beef broth and add package of beefy onion soup. add water (i don't have an exact measurement) til it's an inch or two above the meat. Bring to boil and then turn down to simmer it, covered, for 30 mins. Add carrots, continue simmering for 15 mins, then add potatoes and onions and garlic. Continue to simmer til potatoes pierce easily with a fork. Add can of beef gravy.


Notes

if still too thin, mix a Tbsp of cornstarch with 3 Tbsp of water until cornstarch is dissolved, then pour into stew.
