Sarah S Ultimate Goulash

General Description


1 lb. pasta (campanelle)
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
12 oz. can tomato juice
12 oz. can V8 pincante mild blend vegetable juice
1 can italian <myspace>style</myspace> diced tomatoes, slightly pureed
1 tsp minced onion
2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp marjoram
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
pinch chopped bay leaves
pinch crushed red pepper

Cooking Instructions

Crumble and brown ground beef in large skillet and drain. Cook pasta for 8 minutes. While pasta is boiling, combine all other ingredients into pan with ground beef. Bring to boil and let simmer. When pasta has cooked for 8 minutes, strain and combine beef mixture into pot with pasta. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how done you like the pasta.


Best served with French bread.
